Machine general characteristics

The Machining Center FO(Q) 80 is designed to machine the complex shape surfaces on moulds, press tools, dies as well as on large and complicated work pieces that require 7 axes CNC machining ­ e.g. for automotive and aircraft industry and for industry producing the components from plastic. There are three linear axes on the machine; two rotary axes on the milling head, one linear and one rotary axis on the rotary table that is available with the machine.

This centre is designed as a high dynamic and high speed Horizontal Machining Centre. The ridged structure of the machine allows both roughing and finishing operations.

The Machining Center FO(Q) 80 consists of a robust frame, which is fixed to the machine foundation. The column travels on longitudinal guideways on the frame. The vertical slide moves on vertical guideways of the column. The headstock with a mechanism for the automatic clamping of interchangeable spindle heads travels across the guideways on the column slide.
